Re: Anyone here have their cars in an "agency"?

Most production companies just Google specific cars now and go direct to an owner or through an owners club to get a car. I've done it several times with my car as production companies have contacted me directly. Made a few quid out of it, too. I was asked to do a Hovis advert recently but I just co...

Re: Almighty cock-up with the June edition of the mag.

The price guides are way out in my experience. Best thing to do is see what like for like models are selling for. According to the guide a Princess 2200 is only worth £1400 in concours condition, yet they have been selling for well over £3,000 in the last couple of years.

Re: Leyland Princess Resto

Thanks for the nice comments, sadly my work is done with this car and it's time to move it on as I have two Wedges already and my wife says enough is enough! A shame because it really is a lovely car to drive and look at. So it's now for sale on ebay. Having seen a Morris Marina advertised for £7500...

Re: Leyland Princess Resto

I did as much preparation as I could before I sent it off to the paintshop to have both sides painted. I have had to fit the lights as I have to drive it the 3 miles to the paint shop. http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k588/rovamota/Photo0597.jpg http://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k588/rovamota/P...

Re: Leyland Princess Resto

Well I was only expecting light restoration, and really it still is a light restoration but I wasn't expecting to have to have a new wing (£165!) and two rear arch repair panels. Displacers are relatively easy to come by for these, though prices vary depending who's selling them but I have enough to...

Leyland Princess Resto

After I said no more restorations, I won this 1980 2200HLS Auto on ebay at the end of September 2011, and going by the sellers description it seemed it would need very little work to make it nice again. And it did have a long MoT. When I arrived at the sellers address and first clapped eyes on it I ...
